A background to the events on September 11, 2012, and the attacks on the U.S. embassies in the Arab world is desperately needed. There is so much disinformation and propaganda to sort through. It is a mistake to concentrate solely on the amateurish anti-Islam film and miss the bigger picture.
I myself am confused about this whole circus. But some things are not confusing. The Romney campaign is politically exploiting the chaos and mob protests to make Barack Obama look like the new Carter: a weak, unresponsive, and timid leader. This narrative is false.
There is definitely blood on the Obama administration‘s hands in Libya, because they armed the Al-Qaeda terrorists who are now turning Libya into a hell hole for Americans and Libyans alike. But Romney is not attacking Obama from this angle. He is not raising the issue that Al-Qaeda is an instrument of U.S. policy in the Middle East.
The writer of the blog „friday-lunch-club” says:
„Make no mistake: the animal who’s behind the ‘Innocense of Muslims’ movie did not act on a whim: the timing of the youtube releases and what ensued is perfect to cause the White House enough trouble in the Middle East, to cause a sente in his reelection prospects! Who would you guess could concoct such a scheme? A friend said recently: Remember, Netanyahu believes Mitt Romney is his ‘bitch’!”
Romney’s aim is to weaken Obama’s national security image and secure the presidency for his criminal pals in Israel who are desperate to start a shooting war with Iran. In effect, Romney is throwing America under the bus by siding with Israel’s extremist government over the wishes of the American people and the U.S. military.
President Obama, General Dempsey, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, and other members of the Obama administration refused to go along with Netanyahu’s narrative on Iran. Clinton refusedNetanyahu’s absurd „red lines” stance against Iran. Last month, General Dempsey went over to Israel and told Israeli officials that an attack on Iran is a bad idea because it will hurt U.S. interests in the region.
Gordon Duff of Veterans Today says that the Netanyahu cabal was not happy with the rejection by the Obama administration, so they committed an arrogant act against Gen. Dempsey at an airport in Afghanistan. That act was a failed assassination attempt. On August 27, 2012, Duff wrote:
Dempsey is clearly running the show, taking the lead in our dealings with his counterparts around the world, one of those rare times when the right commander is in the right place at the right time.
This, however, is the problem for those who depend on a weakened US. Where Obama may have bent to political pressure or lacked a base of power, Dempsey is totally in command and backed 100%.
This has made him a target, Netanyahu finds him impossible to manipulate and Romney has been directed to fire Dempsey at all costs. After leaving Tel Aviv last week, Dempsey was subjected to an assassination attempt credited to the Taliban but nobody takes that seriously.
The recent attacks on the American embassies in Libya, Yemen, Tunisia, and Egypt are serving as an excuse to expand the war on terror, discredit the Obama administration, and embolden the war-hungry anti-Iranian fanatics in the Romney-Netanyahu team. This is a dangerous road to go down on.
I’ve read a lot of tweets that say something like „We should just nuke the Middle East.” People who express these sentiments are mentally and emotionally unstable who think that the expression of U.S. military force will fix everything. It won’t.
We can’t let the fanatics of Islam and the fanatics of the West and Israel to hijack our planet and drag it into another unnecessary world war.
